Blanke Aqua Shield Inside Corner

Blanke AQUA SHIELD is a thin waterproofing fabric that can be applied with thin-set mortar to dry, flat, and structurally sound surfaces. Tile can be installed immediately on fabric without the cure time required for liquid-applied products. In addition to waterproofing, the Blanke AQUA SHIELD forms a vapor barrier, making it ideal for steam rooms and saunas. A wide range of convenient accessories is available, such as the Blanke AQUA CORN-I and CORN-A for corners, BLANKE AQUA SA, a self-adhesive tape for a quick, convenient taping of seams, and the BLANKE AQUA SEAL, a waterproof polymer adhesive for sealing seams and preformed corners.

Instructions for Installing Blanke Aqua Shield Inside Corner

• The substrate must be clean, flat, dry, and load-bearing. Priming the substrate is recommended
• Treat drains, pipe surrounds, corners, wall-to-wall connections, and wall-to-floor connections first per directions given in BLANKE AQUA SHIELD Installation Instructions
• Apply the thin-set to the substrate by using a 1/4” x 3/16” V-notched trowel
• Press BLANKE AQUA CORN I into the thin-set by using the flat side of the trowel, ensuring 100% contact with the substrate
• Make sure to press out any air pockets
• In applications subjected to constant and highly moist conditions, use BLANKE AQUA SEAL waterproofing adhesive to seal the overlapped seams.
• Flatten out any excess BLANKE AQUA SEAL at the connections of corners and bands

Suitable Substrates for Bonding:

• Plywood, drywall, backer board, cement
